Jazzy's BackThe best day in our lives was the day we adopted a little black fuzz ball, tucked in the back corner of a cage, she was timidly waiting for her new home. Jazzy is a border Collie/Cocker Spaniel mix and is a joy in our home. She has brought playfulness and fun to our existence and does everything with us. Over the years the grey hairs have mingled with the black but there is still plenty of enthusiasm in her bark. July 18, 2009, Jazzy turned 16 years old. Since it was obvious that her spirit was still feisty but her step had slowed, we asked Dr. Ford what could be done to ease her aches and pains. Dr. Ford explained all of the options and we chose to go with the injections of Adequan combined with Laser TX treatments. Jazzy got the injection/laser treatment combination twice weekly for four weeks. They were quick and appeared to be painless for her. By the second week of treatment, we noticed that she was walking a little faster and there were no limps. After that, she started to run again in little spurts of energy. The best result came when she started to dig out all of her old toys and bring them to us for a nightly playtime. We hadn't seen that is quite a while. There were no adverse side effects to her treatments - only great positives. It was money well spent. Thank you Dr. Ford and your great staff, for helping Jazzy have the quality of life to match her ongoing longevity! It is great to know we still have a lot of happy, healthy time together.
